The Kakumatsu Feather File is a precise tool, perfect for detailed work. This New Old Stock (NOS) item ensures high quality and longevity, making it a great addition to your toolkit. It is useful for resharpening Japanese saws, especially if the saw blade is hand forged.
It can also be used to get into tight spots when fret-making for example.
Due to our offerings being second-hand, we may not always be able to ascertain a brand name, blacksmith or manufacturing origin. Most of these tools will exhibit signs of wear and tear associated with age and use of a hand tool. Our second-hand and vintage hand tools may exhibit heavy wear and defects such as rust, pitting, scratches, dents, finish loss, chips, cracks and repairs.
Any defects to a particular tool or item will be noted and described to the best of our ability in the condition description. Please check all photos carefully, as the photos form a large part of the condition description, and please ask any questions you may have prior to your purchase.
Please note: No tool has been sharpened for use, although we may sharpen tools to get edges straight and dents out.
